Pink, pink, and more pink.  I was trying to keep with the “I Do” theme for the girls cheerleading spirit buckets this year.  It consist of (each girls and coaches) a key chain with their teams pictures on both sides of the bag tag, also attached their own initial of their names with a megaphone key charm, a hanger, flower pen, bracelet with a little pink bow that matches with the pen and sour candy on a stick. I think they loved the hanger the best besides the bag tag, this way they can hang their competition uniform on them instead of just stuffing them in the bag. Go Wildcats!

Instead of writing on the hangers I used Cricut letter vinyl for this project. Bag Tag charm was hand drawn and bag tag with pix of teams are custom that I did. All of these are hand-made by me. Inquire within if you want me to make any of these for you. I forgot these also included the candy leis that I post prior.

Here’s another creative way to giving candies to someone using easy accessible materials that’s low-cost. Please scroll below (slide show) for materials that you would need and also view how I did an assembly line per lei. Please excuse my mess, doing other projects for my daughters cheer team.  Slide shows 3 patterns with pink curling ribbons in keeping with the pink theme.

Update: Here’s a site that inspired me to make these candy lei’s. Site http://www.guavarose.com/2013/05/kukui-nut-candy-lei/. You can also go on Bling.com and view images for candy leis for inspiration, there’s so many ways and styles to making one. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=candy+leis&FORM=HDRSC2#a

Making candy lies all depends on the size of the candies being used.  For the treats I assembled for the lei (adult size, children are less), calculated and cut 4′ long and 5″ (wrap around candy) of the plastic material.  For the length give at least 1/2″ space in between candies to tie the curling ribbons. Also, make sure you add at least 1/2″ from the largest candy (wrap around).  I found doing an assembly line speeds up the process it’s easy and quick from there. Remember to tape both ends to connect the lei and tie the ribbon around it. You can keep it simple like what I’ve done or add a bow and or even add a tag.  It’s limitless on this so do one and be creative!

Note:  The smaller your candies the less plastic you cut and use per lei but when the candies are bulky in size the more plastic materials you’d use for both width and length per lei.

Materials: Scissors, clear tape, clear plastic wrap or plastic cling wrap (for food) is good as well, curling ribbons and candies.

Here’s a “Prettyideas & More” idea for my daughters cheer group that I put together to say thank you for catching her if she falls, keeping her safe and good luck to their 1st competition for the season.

Personalized name on a mini gumball machine, added personal touches to the rest to incorporate them together.  As you can see my big cupcake box party favor could be used for other means , I rolled up boxer briefs for these girls to make it look like cupcakes…  I think they’re so cute! I love the bows too!

Really liking what I did with the laundry baskets, using poly ribbons for handles and made it look like an Easter Basket… It was for them to put all their cheer stuff in them, I wanted to print a sign and attach it to the basket but ran out of time.  I also tied items to the walls of basket so that they don’t move around and didn’t want my cute cupcake box to get ruined.
